Well, I've tried everything everywhere to get this thing sorted out, but no luck so far.
I have a Windows 2003 Enterprise Server running AD, DNS and DHCP... and now hopefully WSUS.
I did everything I found to make it work.
In fact, so far the server itself is the only that's actually showing in the WSUS console as a listed computer
I've created an OU called WSUS as well as a GPO called WSUS, and I've linked the GPO to the OU at the Group Policy Management console. I've also moved all the computers in my AD to the OU "WSUS" I've created, but still nothing.
The strange thing is that I'm getting different error messages depending on what user I'm logged as with GPRESULT, in any workstation of my network.
When I do gpresult with an administrator login, I get a message "INFO: The user XXX\XXX has no RSOP data" (I'm translating the message... it's originally in br-PT for me).
When I do gpresult as a regular user, I get a different message... it says "INFO: The policy object does not exist."
When I run clientdiag.exe, the message I get is:
"Checking Connection to WSUS/SUS Server
AU does not have Policy Set
AU does not have Policy Set
UseWuServer is disabled . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . FAIL"
Any clues y'all ?!
By the way, if I run GPRESULT in the domain controller, I get this:
"COMPUTER SETTINGS
------------------
CN=SERVIDOR,OU=Domain Controllers,DC=mooca,DC=vidanova
Last time Group Policy was applied: 31/3/2006 at 13:16:06

Hope it helps...
By the way, I'm an ISA Server 2004 user, in case you should know that.
