Which service should be running Automatic Updates or BITS or both?

What services are requiring running for WSUS. Automatic Updates and Background Intelligent Transfer Service or both?

BITS correct?

I have my GPO setup so they download the updates but I have to manually install the updates. Which what I want for right now.

Both services, Automatic updates should be set to automatic and running while bits can be set to manual and will only run when needed
