Yes I had the same error. I have a WSUS Build 2.0.0.2472. I found, there was no user in WSUS Admin Group. But assign a user didn't help.

I'm seeing exactly this behaviour on a WSUS 2.0 (Build 2.0.0.2620) installation, without a local file cache.

It's interesting that Gary saw the same problem on WSUS 3.0 (What build ?)

I'd speculate that Microsoft released a new update with an apostrophy somewhere that causes trouble.

Cheers,

Mark

See http://www.wsus.info...showtopic=11126

If you click 'Update Service', click on one of the links, such as 'Computers Needing Updates'.

This will let you get into the options. Go into personalization, uncheck 'New Products and New Classifications have been added in the past 30 days'.

This will allow you to see WSUS main page.

This does not fix the underlying problem.

Hi, I'm getting the same error also after login, when the "homepage" tries to open. I check this daily and this is the first time I've encountered it. The other tabs (updates, reports, computers & options) all function. Cycling through the pages, I'm not seeing any references to any changes that occured in the console. Microsoft, are you working on this issue?
Thanks!

I've been looking over the net for a solution, but nothing... Most errors that are related are: "The specified string is invalid. Parameter name: fullDomain" or something like that...

Microsoft is aware of the problem and looking into a resolution.

I'm just guess.... if 17 people have responded "me to" it doesnt seem to be user error but rather an issue with WSUS.

I agree with you Joseti. I too came in this morning and found that error. I was thinking ok I must have done something wrong. I'm using WSUS 2 Build 2.0.0.2620. Hopefully they fix this quickly.
